Dr. Hamada Hamid is the Co-Director of the Veteran Administration (VA) Epilepsy Center of Excellence in West Haven, CT. He has established a Neurobehavioral clinic, where he provides clinical care for veterans who suffer from emotional distress and/or behavioral problems associated with neurological conditions. His research explores psychiatric co-morbidity of neurologic disease. He is currently the primary investigator of a study examining the neurologic substrates of depression in people with epilepsy. He earned his M.D. from Michigan State University and M.P.H. from New York University. He is on the Board of Directors of the Journal of Muslim Mental Health.
