Abdalla Idris Ali

Abdalla Idris Ali is the former president of ISNA. He founded the first full-time Islamic school in Toronto, Canada. He served as the principal of ISNA Islamic Community School for 17 years. He also served on ISNA’s Executive Council (Majlis Ash-Shura) and the Youth and Education Committee.

Abir Catovic

Abir Catovic is a board member of WISER. She is one of the founders of her local Islamic School, and she prides herself in having taught every grade level from KG through twelfth grade. She has served as Director of Religious Studies, Vice Principal, and Principal.

Adel Abdelrazek

Ustādh Adel Abdelrazek, a dedicated educator at Eman Schools in Fishers, Indiana, USA, brings a wealth of experience to his classroom. His journey spans from kindergarten to 10th grade, dating back to 2014. Adel’s innovative approach combines traditional methods with technology.

Amal Elhoseiny

Amal Sakr Elhoseiny received her PhD in comparative studies of German and Arabic languages. A Nooraniyyah-certified instructor, Dr. Elhoseiny has taught Arabic and Qur’an at New Horizons School in Pasadena for more than twenty years.

Amber Khan

After graduating from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine and earning an Associates’ Degree in Islamic Studies from Mishkah University, Amber Khan has been a Muslim youth health educator since 2010.

Anam Chaudry

Anam Chaudry has a Master of Science in Education in Mental Health Counseling. She has taught in weekend schools and substituted in Islamic schools for 5 years and taught in full time Islamic schools for two years.

Anthony Mohamed

Anthony Muhammad is an author and international thought leader. He currently serves as the CEO of New Frontier 21 Consulting, a company dedicated to providing cutting-edge professional development to schools all over the world.

Arshiya Shaikh

Arshiya Shaikh is a core team member of the school’s development. She is currently one of our PreK 3 teachers and is enrolled in a master’s program at the University of Albany specializing in special education, elementary education, and literacy.

Aya Khalil

I’m Aya Isaac, a dedicated mother of three and the founder of Aoun Programs in Egypt, specializing in K-12 and Informal education curriculum design and training focused on project and play-based learning for parents, caregivers, and teachers.

Azra Naqvi

Dr. Azra has an academic background in education leadership, accounting, and social work. She earned her Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from Argosy University in 2013 and has recently completed her Doctor of Arts in Educational Leadership.

Farea Khan

Farea Khan has been in education for over fifteen years. She is a licensed ELA teacher and instructional coach and is in the process of completing her principal licensure in the state of North Carolina. Currently, she serves as the principal of Al-Iman School in Raleigh, NC.

Fatima Antakli

My name is Fatima Antakli. I am a Quran, Tafseer, Tajweed, and Arabic teacher at Bayaan Academy. I have 15 years of experience in the teaching profession in many countries. Namely in Saudi Arabia, Syria, and currently in the United States.

Gholday Muhammad

Dr. Gholnecsar (Gholdy) Muhammad is an Associate Professor of Literacy, Language, and Culture at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She has previously served as a classroom teacher, literacy specialist, school district administrator, curriculum director, and school board president.

Habeeb Quadri

Habeeb Quadri is an Educator, Author, and Youth Activist. He’s been in education for more than 20 years as a teacher, principal and superintendent of MCC Academy, one of the most-respected Islamic elementary and middle schools in North America, located in Chicago suburbs.

Hassan Aly

Imam Hassan Mostafa Aly is the Imam and Director of Religious affairs at The Mecca Center in Willowbrook, Illinois since December 2011. He is a graduate of the prestigious Al-Azhar University of Cairo, Egypt in Islamic Studies and theology.

Leila Shatara

Leila Shatara, Ph.D. principal of Al-Hidaya School is also an educational consultant. She is currently the President of the Florida Islamic Schools Association and member of the Global Association of Islamic Schools Steering Committee.

Logan David Siler

Logan David Siler holds a BA in World History from San Francisco State University. He earned his MA in Islamic Leadership from Bayan Islamic Graduate School and received a PhD in Comparative Theology and Philosophy from Claremont School of Theology.

Magda Saleh

Magda Elkadi Saleh has led Islamic schools in Tampa, FL since 1992 and is currently the Head of the School of Bayaan Academy. She is also Radiant Hands’s President and the founding Treasurer of the Florida Islamic Schools Association.

Maria Kouli

I am Maria Kouli, an Arabic World and a Dual language teacher at Elizabeth Learning Center in LAUSD district. I have six years of experience in the Minaret Academy Saturday School and worked as a substitute teacher in Minaret Academy school and in the Westminster district for three years.

Mohamed Salah Ahmed

I served as the High School Principal for the American Creativity Academy-Kuwait, Principal for the American School of Tangier-Morocco, Head of School of Al Salam Day School-Missouri, Curriculum Director, AP and IB Coordinator at the American Youth Academy, and currently Bayaan Academy’s PK-12 Principal in Florida.

Muhammad Khalifa

Dr. Muhammad Khalifa is a professor of Educational Administration and Executive Director of Urban and Rural Initiatives at Ohio State University. He served as the Robert H. Beck Endowed Chair of Ideas in Education at the University of Minnesota.

Najib Azhar

Dr. Najib Azhar, founder of LearningIslamicValues.Education, builds Islamic Values and Skills for Success in Life and AfterLife, integrating them into the contemporary education system. He serves as Instructor at ZaytechAcademy.com Islamic School.

Rahilah Niazi

Rahilah Niazi has been an educator for 11 years in the capacity of a substitute teacher, Pre-K, and elementary teacher. She holds Bachelor’s of Science in Childhood Education (Birth-6; Concentration in Mathematics) and my Master’s of Education in Literacy (Birth-12).

Rawan Hyick

Rawan Hayik is the Project Coordinator for High-Quality Educational Consulting. She has contributed to the organizational establishment and refinement of several Islamic Schools nationwide.

Rehenuma Asmi

Rehenuma Asmi, PhD is an executive board member of the Center for Islam in the Contemporary World where she creates education programs for Islamic school teachers. She received her PhD from Columbia University Teachers College in Anthropology and Education.

Rukaat Yakub

Rukayat Yakub is an award-winning children’s author, educator, trainer, consultant, and professional coach. She has expertise in educational theory, curriculum design, pedagogy, race studies, Islamic studies, and ethical wealth flow.

Safaa Zarzour

Safaa Zarzour is the President of ISNA and the Superintendent of Universal Schools in Illinois and Indiana, served as the Secretary General of ISNA, General Counsel and Chief Operations Officer of Zakat Foundation, Chief Executive Officer of IQRA International Foundation, and adjunct law professor at Loyola Law School.

Sagda Wahba

Sagda Wahba is currently a student at the University of South Florida’s College of Education. She has been a PE teacher at Bayaan Academy since 2021. She teaches a range of grades from 3rd-11th grade Physical Education.

Salah Ayari

Salah Ayari is currently an Instructional Professor of Arabic and the Director of Language Instruction in the Department of Global Languages and Cultures at Texas A&M University. He has taught Arabic at all levels since 1994.

Sammar Ghanoum

Samar Ghannoum, a California-based language instructor and history professor, currently teaches at the University of Redlands. Her career began at Damascus University, where she earned a B.A. in Arabic language and arts.

Seema Imam

Professor Seema Imam is a lifelong educator with numerous educational certifications, including elementary, middle level, special education, school administration, and superintendent. he is a full professor at National Louis University, where she has served for twenty-nine years preparing teachers.

Shahida Alikhan

Shahida Alikhan joined New Horizon School, where she became principal and served for 26 years while simultaneously working as the principal of Sunday School for 11 years. In addition, she served as the professional development coordinator at Aldeen Foundation for 21 years.

Sufia Azmat

Sufia Azmat is the Executive Director of the Islamic Schools Based in North America (CISNA). She holds a Master’s in Islamic Education and Leadership from Bayan. She has served the Islamic education community for over 25 years as a teacher, school leader, leadership coach, and education consultant.

Susan Labadi

Susan Labadi is a consultant for Islamic schools. She served as a teacher and administrator, and worked to develop the ISNA Education Forums, CISNA, CISE, the American Muslim Consumer Consortium, the American Halal Association, and the American Halal Council.

Wadud Hassan

Wadud Hassan is the Head of School at Good Tree Academy and lives in Dallas with his wife and twin girls. Wadud completed his graduate studies in leadership and organizational performance at Vanderbilt University, and leadership training at Harvard, IDEO, and the Neuroscience Academy.

William White

William White is a Certified Master facilitator in the Leadership Challenge framework and is passionate about leadership development for Muslim institutions worldwide. He is also a board member of the Council of Islamic Schools in North America (CISNA).

Ziad Abdullah

Ziad Abdulla is the Principal at The Huda Academy, Little Rock, Arkansas. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in jurisprudence, and a Diploma in Education Rehabilitation from the University of Jordan. He received his Master’s in Education with a Valedictorian Award from Al-Albayt University, Jordan.

Fiyyaz Jaat

Fiyyaz Jaat serves as Director of ISNA’s YouthDev department. He has grown up working with the Muslim Youth of North America (MYNA) since the age of 15. In 2023 he was named in EquityX’s Top 50 Influential Muslims in the Americas. He resides in Toronto with his wife and 3 kids.
