Convention Highlights

Bazaar

Economic activity is vital for the development of any community. Therefore one of the main events at the Convention is the “ISNA Bazaar or Trade Show”. More than 500 booths with 300 vendors and businesses participate in the ISNA Bazaar every year.

Entertainment

Islamic entertainment is one of the key features of the Annual Convention. Past performers have included Sami Yusuf, Maher Zain, Native Deen, Mona Haydar, Kareem Salama, Preacher Moss, Junaid Jamshed, Noor, Najam Sheraz, Dawud Warnsby, Zain Bhikha and many more.

Matrimonial

Two matrimonial banquets for single Muslims will be held at the ISNA Convention on Saturday and Sunday. More than 800 singles will participate in these matrimonial banquets. These banquets offer networking opportunity to singles who are looking for spouses.

Community Service Recognition Luncheon

The Community Service Recognition Luncheon (CSRL) is an event where a prestigious group of the nation’s Muslim leaders, scholars and government officials join to honor an individual dedicated to community service and present them with an award.

Young Professionals Luncheon

The Young Professionals Networking Banquet will provide a platform for professional growth, skill development, sharing ideas and networking. The luncheon also features a panel discussion with emerging leaders.

Art Exhibit

Every year an Art exhibit is organized at the annual convention. Art is a powerful form of expression that transcends human barriers. It creates a lasting impact on the viewer that goes beyond culture, language, or background. Art is entertaining as well as inspires the viewer to think and learn more.

Film Festival

An annual film festival will be organized at the convention. This provides a platform for filmmakers to showcase their work to the convention attendees.  ISNA Film Festival introduces attendees to the vast and dynamic world of films as well as to the talented filmmakers.

Meet the Author

Raise the level of intellectual dialogue and cultural awareness in our community. The Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) invites all published authors to attend special panel sessions entitled Meet the Author at the ISNA Annual Convention.

Qira’at Competition

Reciting, memorizing and devoting time to regularly study the Qur’an and implementing it’s life lessons has tremendous benefits in both this life and the hereafter.  We provide opportunities for our youth, encouraging them to learn the art of recitation, memorization, and Tajweed of Al-Quran.

Children’s Program

Children’s program (6-11 years) and Babysitting program (2-5 years) are provided on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Annual ISNA Convention. Registration for these programs can be made online along with your convention registration.

Basketball Tournament

A 3 on 3 basketball tournament for boys and girls will be arranged at the 55th Annual ISNA Convention in Houston.  Hundreds of participants are expected to play in this tournament

Job/ Career Fair 

Job/ Career Fair, organized by AMSET & ISNA,  will provide job seekers opportunities to meet employers, network with professionals and learn to grow in their careers. Please bring hard and soft copies of your resume. Business Development Fair will provide the aspiring entrepreneurs the opportunity to network with other businessmen. You can also reserve a table at this fair

Health Fair 

At the convention Health Fair, ISNA provides free health screenings and other health related information to all convention attendees. These services may vary from one event to another. To offer these services in the past conventions we have collaborated with Compassionate Care Network (CCN) In Chicago, Islamic Medical Association,  American Red Cross, and many other dedicated volunteer health professionals
