ISNA SEEKS APPLICATIONS FOR THE POSITION OF SECRETARY GENERAL
The Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) seeks applications and nominations for the position of Secretary General. After serving as ISNA Secretary General for two years, Dr. Muneer Fareed will be stepping down from the position at the end of 2008 to return to scholarly pursuits. ISNA is deeply grateful to Dr. Fareed for taking upon himself the heavy responsibility of ISNA Secretary General and wishes him success in his new projects.
The ISNA Secretary General plays a leading role in the development and articulation of ISNA’s programs and services. The General Secretary is responsible for managing the day-to-day affairs of the ISNA Headquarters, managing ISNA’s staff, and acting as a public representative. Other responsibilities include facilitating fundraising, working with local and national community leaders, and promoting the programs and services of ISNA. The Secretary General works closely with ISNA’s elected leadership and reports directly to the Executive Council.
The Search Committee will begin reviewing materials immediately and will continue until the position is filled. For best consideration, please forward materials no later than November 30, 2008.
