YOUTH CONTENT DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR
The Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) Youth Programming and Services Department (YPSD) is seeking a motivated, efficient person to fill the full-time position of Content Development Coordinator, starting March 15, 2012.
Job Description:
The Content Development Coordinator is responsible for leading content development in the area of youth development. He or she is specifically responsible for undertaking the following:
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Coordinating the development of training materials for volunteers;
- Coordinating virtual Personal Development programs;
- Coordinating the development of youth development program curriculum;
- Coordinating the development of educational materials.
Qualifications:
Successful applicants are expected to be versed in administrative work; having previous experience with non-profit organizations is preferable. Strong candidates will have:
- College degree in areas related to curriculum development, education, psychology or youth development;
- Previous experience in developing content, designing curriculum or delivering trainings ;
- Excellent writing skills;
- Excellent organization skills;
- Excellent computer skills;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Excellent problem-solving skills;
- Ability to work with diverse age groups;
- Familiarity with reality of Muslim American families including youth.
Note:
The position is a full time job. Successful applicants will receive competitive salary and benefits. Pay is commensurate with education, skills and experience.
