  • Individual with meals $85 - Meals include Friday Dinner, Saturday Lunch & Dinner

  • Dec 25th 2009: Selected presenters will be notified via email
  • Feb 15th 2010: Completed papers are due
  • Mar 1st 2010: Receive Feedback on papers from the Education Forum Program Committee
The 11th Annual ISNA Education Forum is scheduled for April 2-4 in Rosemont, IL, with four pre-conference full-day workshops on Friday, April 2nd, scheduled for teachers of Arabic, Principals, teachers of ESL, and Community and Board members interested in starting or expanding their schools to include middle and high schools. The presentations will address issues relevant to Islamic schools in North America, and will emphasize hands-on and practical information that can be used by participants in their daily practice. Presenters will provide handouts, Power Point presentations, and feature interactive or workshop style presentations on the following topics:
  • Integrating Islam into the Curriculum
  • Effective Teaching Practices/Differentiated Instruction
  • Grooming Teachers to Become Leaders
  • Curriculum Development/Alignment/Assessment
  • Effective Classroom/Behavior Management
  • Internalizing Islamic Values into School Environment
  • Developing Effective Professional Development Program for the Staff
  • Motivating Staff and Students
  • Using Data to Drive School Improvement
  • Involving Students in Extracurricular Activities
  • Increasing Awareness and Participation in Community Service Projects
  • Strategic Planning
  • Succession Planning Across School Levels
  • Best Practices for School Boards (financial management, evaluation)
  • Establishing Sustainable Efforts and Practices for Fundraising/Endowment
