ISNA Education Forum 2008
"Sustaining Progress: Cultivating Stewardship"
Call for Presentations/Abstracts
Deadline for abstracts: January 15th, 2008
"All of you are guardians and responsible for your wards and the things under your care..." (Al Bukhari)
Our 2008 Annual Education Forum will focus on identifying tools that educators can use in promoting a positive school climate, in inculcating leadership skills in our students, and in enhancing their spiritual lives
As educators, we are called upon to guide, and mentor our students to academic success. As Muslim educators we have the added responsibility of ensuring that our schools also imbue our students with the identity, the morals and the values that Islam espouses.
We ask that your presentation focuses on such pedagogical theories and practical applications as would promote the foregoing twin objectives. Your presentation therefore, should be both academically sound as well as practically applicable. You are strongly urged to use PowerPoint presentations, and to distribute handouts of the workshops that you conduct.
Tracks:
- Curriculum & Standards
- Instruction
- Leadership: Boards & Administration
- Weekend Schools
